Christopher Romano (UCLA, B.A. Fine Art / Art Center College of Design, M.F.A. Fine Art) wanted to be a painter when he grew up before falling into the slippery world of computer animation and visual effects. Throughout his long career in feature films, Romano has maintained a strong independent art and film presence (he's a big fan of absurdity and surrealism), starting with his original DREAMBOY cartoons, which aired on MTV's "Cartoon Sushi." Since then, his creative work has appeared worldwide in theaters, festivals, and on television. 2014 saw the release of his latest film, ¡MONSTRO!, a 10 minute comedy written and directed for Side Effects. ¡MONSTRO! spent a year on the circuit, playing in over 30 festivals internationally (and even winning a few times). 2016 witnessed new work, "Alphabet City," directed and designed by Romano for ShadowMachine and their sketch comedy show TRIPTANK, airing on Comedy Central.
Romano recently completed a successful kickstarter campaign for his latest original work, MOONSTRUCK. It's a finished graphic novel, set for publication before the end of the year.
